Teng Boon Hui was a student of Cedar Girls' Secondary School from January 2005 to December 2008.Today marks the end of my school life in Cedar. i have officially completed my four-year course and will soon be writing a new chapter in my life story.
memories of the past had been flashing through my mind for the past few days. i was amazed at how much i have changed since sec 1. cedar has moulded me into a stronger and confidnt person throughtout my four years here. cedar has become a home to me, with so many good friends, always being there for me. all of us had gone through everything together, making us stronger each time. i feel really reluctant to leave this school. i would definitely miss all my teachers, friends and everyone i know after i leave this school.
i will miss my fellow plt mates. i would not forget the days we had walked through together. we had overcome our barriers along our journey and had gone through thick and thin together. i can still remember the camps we had in school and at HQ. all were tough ones but we chose to carry on instead of giving up. we had stink together, slept together, eat together, perspired together, had lots of fun together and shared sweet memories. i would not forget the times we had together as one.
as for 4H, i think we've really become a lot more bonded this year. i think the main reason is because of the events we had gone through together and mr sng's good plan of changing seating arrangements frequently. i didnt like his plan at the beginning of the year as i was afraid of changing partners because i may not be able to adapt i thought i would not like to sit wih someone whom i was not close with. however, i had finally realised his intention after some time. i had sat with wang rui, wang xin, lydia, kelly and rong qi. i would not forget the times i sat with wang rui, lydia and wang xin. that were the best moments i had. we laughed so much at stupid jokes during that time. i think we were the best partners. we became good friends since then. and kelly, the fatty bom bom, haha, i wont forget how much she loves to eat and talk. she is a fun person. and my last partner, rong qi. i was so scared of sitting with her initially as i thought she is a fierce, dao and unfriendly person, which was the opposite of me. however, i realised she is actually a funny person. and she cares a lot about her looks, haha, so unbelievable. she loves to go to the toilet to check on her hair and now, she has a ponytail, she would always asked me if her hair is drooping or messy. haha. i miss the times the class worked together as one. i wont forget the moments we had together for events like cross country, express yourself day (when it was so unbelievable that our whole class took part in it), racial harmony, buzz at canteen, class outings,etc. i have known the class a lot better this year. i dont really have much memories of last year, haha:)
and i would definitely miss sheng ling, i wen, lay eng and audrie. i have known sheng ling and i wen for 4 years and audrie and lay eng for 2 years. they were really a fun lot. they have added colours to my school life. we have gone through a lot together and through those times, we became closer. although we would be leaving cedar soon, i am certain that our friendship will not just end here. we will be friends forever. lay eng, sheng ling and i had already decided to come back on cedar's 100th aniversary. and at that time, we would be 65 years old. we were even saying that we would all grow shorter and maybe lay eng, who's the tallest now will turn out to be the shortest in 49 years' time and audrie who is the shortest may become the tallest. that will be funny. i hope we will really be good and best friends till then.
i will miss all the other people i know in cedar. i hope to see them again if i come back to cedar next year.
all the best to the sec 4s taking the o levels exam and jiayou! we shall all strive for the jc we wanna get in!
